Fine Arts Fridays
“Fine Arts Friday” is an enrichment program for the Houston Bay Area homeschooling community. With an assortment of semester long classes to choose from, your student can learn to bake, shoot and edit videos, learn musical theater skills, work with different art mediums, and engage in Robotics and STEM skills plus much more.

This class is designed to introduce little ones to music appreciation and basic music and movement skills. This will be a fun 45 min class that your student will look forward to each week!

This class is designed to introduce little ones to art appreciation and creative expression through hands on art activities. This will be a fun 45 min class that your student will look forward to each week!

Your student will learn about famous artists throughout history and get to create their own artwork using the techniques and styles of the artists they learn about.

Learn the different techniques of some of the master artists throughout history. Your student will learn about the time period and the skills of the artist and get to practice using each type of technique as they create their own masterpiece.

This 15 week session will be a fun and engaging, hands-on class where students will dive into the study of botany and how plants grow. The students will get to learn about how God created each part of the plant with a unique design and purpose and will learn the importance of pollinators like bees and butterflies. This will be a very fun spring science study!

In this course, your student will learn the basics of building and team work. With hands on experience and fun, this class will teach fine motor skills and problem solving in the most fun way!

Take it to the next level with CHALLENGE Robotics! This class will allow students to work together to build robots, challenging their skills and abilities as they grow in skill and knowledge over the semester.

Is your student interested in cartoon art and graphics?
Join digital artist, Haley Elliot, for an amazing opportunity to the basics of cartoon art! Students will learn anatomy, style development, and the different techniques to take their talents to new heights.
Students are not required to have prior artistic talent or skill!
Returning students may sign up for additional level instruction in this class.
Students can use either Ipads/electric drawing apps or paper.

Does your student enjoy films such as: "The Nightmare Before Christmas", "Coraline", or "Wallace and Gromit"?
Well now your student can learn to create their very own stop motion films! This class will demonstrate the tips and tricks to create poseable figures, editing techniques, and their very own videos.
No prior artistic skill is necessary for this class!"
Phones or tablets with a rear camera are required for this class. Computers will not work. Materials such as the tripods and backdrops will be provided.

Class Description: The whole world is quickly becoming video, from the ads we see, to the messages we send, but there are principles that everyone from commercial creators to classic film directors use to create the films we love. In this class we will cover everything that goes into the creative process for making videos, from how to setup a camera, recording quality audio, setting up lighting for filming, editing video, how to export video for different digital mediums and more. The goal is that by the end of the semester nothing is standing between you and your creativity.

In this class the students will learn to bake and make many sweet treats: Cookies, Macaroon, simple Pastries/Cakes and more. Simple frosting or glazes will be used and students will take home their baked goods each week.
Worship with Sign Language is a class designed to help students worship in a different and new way. When you learn the motions and meanings of the words you are singing, it brings the songs to life in a very special way. Go deeper with God by learning to worship through Sign Language.

A fun class for elementary kids to explore and process art with tactile techniques like sculpting, slime, shaving cream marbling, finger paining, moon sand, and more.

This class equips students with foundational skills in computer-aided design and drafting using Onshape, a cloud-based CAD platform. Students will learn how to design 2D AND 3D objects. They will also learn the basics of 3D printing. CAD is a great skill to prepare for careers in engineering, architecture, and design by exploring modern industry tools.

A craft class for older or more experience kids/teens, exploring techniques requiring a little more patience and coordination, such as knitting, crocheting, macrame, hand sewing, origami, etc.

Class Description: Keep up with the changes in communication and production in the word by learning the ins and outs of audio production and podcasting. This will be a fun and engaging class that your student will not want to miss.

This semester, your student will train in key acting techniques such as using objectives and tactics, breaking down a scene, developing character choices, strengthening vocal and physical expression, and performing truthfully with partners. Students will also learn how to select, analyze, and perform a monologue with confidence. We’ll build ensemble, practice improv, and learn to approach scripts with clarity and creativity. Students will showcase their growth in a featured performance at the Spring Showcase on May 8. *Special discount for those who are also in the Production Company (spring show)
