K5 Parent Patrol
In the last year we have met with security specialists looking for ways to secure our campus and make it the safest it can be for our students and staff. With 1 main point of entry and a contained and locked down building, the BAHA K5 Campus scored pretty well in over all security. But in an effort to add that extra layer of protection and peace of mind, we will be starting our volunteer based "Parent Patrol" that will add extra eyes and surveillance around the parking lot and exterior of the building during school days. This person will not interact with students or teachers, but will remain in their car watching the outside of the church.

6-12 Security Update
As we prepare for an exciting new school year we have been prayerfully discussing how we can beef up security on our 6-12 campus. We do not anticipate anything bad to happen, but we also want to be wise in making the best choices to protect our most prizes possessions: our children.
In the spring I met with a security specialist and we walked around our campuses and discussed options and ideas that could increase safety. As a result of these meetings, I am excited to share with you that we will be partnering with the Friendswood Police Department for the school year to have a uniformed officer on campus during school hours. We collectively felt that this was the best option for the overall safety of the students and faculty on the 6-12 campus and are thrilled to have FPD joining us.
This is a paid position for the officers on duty, so we are asking that each family contribute $100 to this security cost. BAHA will come up with the balance of what it costs, but your contribution will help out immensely. If you feel led to give more - that is amazing too! We consider this a priority and are excited to provide this level of security and peace of mind to our families.
