Course Description:

This class will look closely at art as it progresses through history, beginning with early art in cave dwellings and advancing to the 1800’s and then onto modern day. Students will move chronologically through history and look at how the culture of a time influenced the artists and the art they created. Students will take notes and create their own projects taking inspiration from the time periods they are studying. Art Through the Ages will follow along the same time period that students are studying in History Through the Ages and it therefore makes a great companion to further the student’s enrichment, but is an excellent stand alone art course as well.
