THE STORY
For the last 8 years we have daydreamed and prayed for an opportunity to have our very own building. During Covid, when most places were closing their doors, Trinity Fellowship Church offered an open door to our program, allowing us to move our classes to their church and offering us peace and security in a very challenging time. And now, 6 years later, God has again given us an open door at Trinity Fellowship Church - this time with an opportunity to plant deep roots, create permanent spaces, and share our program in a unique way like never before. We are beyond grateful to God for answering our prayer and providing our program with our very own BAHA property. To God be the Glory!
THE PLAN
Starting in August of 2026, our BAHA K5 program, along with our Fine Arts Fridays program, will be meeting at 301 Leisure Lane in Friendswood. This will allow us to create a more customized learning environment for both programs as we are able to renovate, build out, and outfit each space for the exact needs of our teachers and students. We are excited about all the ways this building and property will meet our student’s needs in the coming future.
THE NEED
THE LIST
We are so blessed to have already begun working on the Leisure Lane property and we cannot wait for everyone to see it! But as is expected, the cost of all the projects and vision we have for this building adds up. We are confident the Lord will provide in every way, as He has always shown himself so faithful to us on this BAHA journey, but we did want to take the opportunity to invite our families and partners in.
Mostly importantly, we want to invite you to pray. God has opened every door for this program since day one and it is largely in part to the amazing people who have always been involved and praying for us. Prayer matters and we would greatly appreciate your prayers.
If you desire to give financially - we would love that! There is no gift too small! On top of the cost of renovations, we are purchasing everything from chairs and whiteboards to landscaping materials and sound equipment. So truly every gift is appreciated.
We are THRILLED to start this new adventure with you all!
And cant’ wait to reveal the new space to everyone in August!
Projects and Purchases:
- Renovation of the Education Building to include updating existing classrooms, combining a couple spaces to make new larger spaces, and making a BAHA art room and Library
- Updates to all bathrooms
- Creating 4 large classroom spaces in the Auditorium Building
- Replacing all fluorescent and outdated lights with LED can lights
- State of the art performance auditorium to host all performances, large gatherings, and Bright Light Theater productions. (to include stage, sound, lighting, designated dressing room areas, new seating, paint, new floors, and a backstage bathroom)
- Expanding Main entrance and foyer in the Auditorium building to include cafe seating and walk up snack/coffee station
- Upgrading Kitchen to better suit the needs of our baking classes in hopes of growing our culinary program on FAF.
- Playground expansion to include replacing the chain link fence with a new black aluminum fence, new landscaping, and playground equipment, and picnic tables.
- Outdoor covered awning along side entrances to provide protection on rainy days.
- Front Entrance covering awning
- Exterior Paint for both buildings
- Replacing all windows
- New parking lot
- Landscape to include creating several new flower beds, planting shrubs and greenery, and planting a line of trees along the main road.
